  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. Rao urges UAE to accept appeals for mercy of Telangana workers detained in Dubai

Telangana's minister of information technology and industries, KT Rama Rao, asked the UAE government on Monday to grant five Telangana residents requests for mercy who are being held in a Dubai jail. Dr Abdulnasser Alshaali, the UAE ambassador to India, met with the minister at Pragathi Bhavan to talk about international relations and business potential.

Rama Rao informed the ambassador in a representation that Shivarathri Mallesh, Shivarathri Ravi, Nampelli Venkati, Dandugula Laxman, and Shivarathri Hanmanthu were found guilty and imprisoned in Dubai in relation to the 2005 death of a Nepalese national named Dil Prasad Rai. They are all Rajanna Sircilla district natives.

The minister claims that in 2013, he personally met with the Dil Prasad family in Nepal. He said that the family had collected Rs 15 lakh in "Diyyah," or blood money, from the Indian labourers as compensation and that they had given the Dubai authorities the required paperwork. Even though this matter was brought up repeatedly with the Indian embassy in the UAE and their Indian colleagues, the UAE court rejected their requests for leniency.

According to KTR, the UAE Prime Minister Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum must approve the five Indian labourers' petition for mercy before they can be freed from Dubai's Aweer Prison and sent home.

The two talked about Telangana's investment potential, the state's startup environment, the development of the IT industry and its related industries, and infrastructure and government policies during the meeting. According to the minister's office, the ambassador agreed to KTR's proposal to offer T-Hub to investors in the UAE.
